Powick Community Choir is always on the lookout for new members.

Previous choral experience or the ability to read music would be an advantage, but not essential.

We sing an eclectic range of music from choral classic to music from stage and screen. We also enjoy singing music written by our Musical Director and are regularly able to perform with a professional orchestra.

We practice on Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 4:15 to 5:45 at Powick Parish Hall. There is no requirement to attend both sessions although many do.

If you are interested in joining or would just like more information, then please take a look at our 'Frequently Asked Questions' page.  Or, complete the form below and someone will get in contact with you very soon thereafter.  Alternatively, please feel free to call our musical director, Tom Wells, on 01905 831752

A message from our Musical Director Tom Wells

“It is always a great pleasure to welcome new members to the choir.
Previous choral experience is desirable and at least a basic understanding of musical notation is essential.
There is no formal audition to worry about, but after a three week probationary period, there will be an opportunity to chat with Tom to review how things have gone.
At this stage, you may, if you wish, perform a piece of your own choosing to Tom”
The choir requires a degree of commitment and members should aim to attend at least one of the two scheduled rehearsals ( Thursday evenings and Sunday late afternoons) each week.
It is recognises there will be times when this is not possible.”
