Powick Community Choir, under the musical direction of Tom Wells, has been growing and developing since its beginnings in early 2010. We draw our members from a wide local area and hold rehearsals on Sunday afternoons between 4.15 pm – 5.45 pm and Thursday evenings from 7.pm – 8.30 in Powick Parish Hall. Our membership rarely drops below 70 and we sing an eclectic range of music from choral classic to music from stage and screen. We also enjoy singing music written by our Musical Director and we are able to perform regularly with a professional orchestra.

We have performed in a wide variety of venues: Malvern Priory, Malvern Theatres, Worcester Cathedral, St. Mary’s Church Kempsey, and even St Georges Chapel, Windsor, to name but a few, and each December hold our ever popular Christmas concert at Stanbrook Abbey, Callow End (6 Christmas concerts) to sell-out audiences. The choir raises thousands of pounds for local charities . See our charities page

In 2017 we entered the Upton Choir Festival, the first competition we have ever entered.  We were proud to be awarded the Judges Prize for the Best Performance.  In 2018 we went one better at Upton and were awarded the prize for the 'Most Outstanding Choir'.

In March 2026 the choir was awarded Honours in the Large Choir section and the Worcester Creative Arts Festival and were advised that the choir was 'Well disciplined, stylish and high on audience appeal".
